Psychological Impact on StudentsBiology classes should teach students to have an appreciation and respect for all life. Unfortunately, dissection imparts the opposite lesson—that animals are expendable and undeserving of our concern. Sociological studies have shown that dissection can foster attitudes of indifference toward animals.
